"At the beginning of the semester, the professor made a speech devaluing Brazilian culture, the learning capacity of Brazilians and misogynistic and homophobic statements, a Brazilian student took a stand against the speech and was humiliated. Since then, he has not addressed Brazilian students and it does not matter how hard we try on assignments and tests, he gives below-average grades. It has become a declared adherence. Students are cornered, afraid. The [course director] was notified, but did nothing about it. So, since the situation was denounced and there was no punishment or even an investigation, the aggressor became stronger and intensified his expressions of hate."

"Witnessed, in the year 2022, more than once, a member of the staff of the University of Porto presenting xenophobic and racist attitudes towards co-workers, also researchers. Such attitudes were sometimes veiled, and sometimes totally explicit and direct. When veiled, they had the intention of harming colleagues, disfavoring them in their activities and potential career advancement. When direct, they aimed at moral harm and embarrassment, through racist jokes and xenophobic comments, comparing them to animals, terrorists, and other nonsense."
